The Costumes

What a fun and exhausting weekend! Yesterday we began with a trip to Topeka to watch one of Chris' students compete in the KS State Volleyball Tournament. Funny thing - she forgot to tell him they didn't make it out of pool play Friday so she wasn't even there! Oh well, we watched another Blue Valley team (North) finish fourth instead.

From there we headed to Lia's second birthday party, which was a costume party and super-fun Halloween-themed. More pictures to come from that but boy did Gina and Tim go all out! With just three weeks left before their baby boy arrives, she threw a great party!

Finally, we ended our day celebrating my cousin Carolyn's big birthday milestone with a surprise party at Tammy's house. We almost had the party without her, as she was "too tired" and "wasn't in the mood for meatballs" to come over. Thankfully her boyfriend was in on the secret and finally got her over to the house. Looking forward to getting to know him more...a fellow SMW Viking can't be too bad! :-)

OK, so now it is Halloween. Here are some of the better pictures of all the gang's costumes. I'll post more of the actual trick-or-treating later but wanted to get these up before I call it a night.

Cailyn and Kinley posing for the grandparents
"The Gang" posing for another year of pictures on our staircase.
This was about as good as I could get for a group photo!
As you can see, we have a Toy Story theme going on here...
Jennie lending a helping hand by holding Kinley.
Next year she'll have one of her own to dress up and add to the picture!
The Stephens boys - 2 of the 101 Dalmatians!
The 2-year-olds!
One of my favorites!!!
My darling Godson Jake loving on my darling daughter!
Finally, Nana and her mini-me cowgirl!
