We have had such a great time together as a family. I have really enjoyed having Chris around while I'm home with Kinley. After a morning nap (for the girls) we get ready and head out to do something each day such as eating lunch, running errands, stopping by his classroom, etc. His work-related meetings are picking up and he will spend more and more time there until students arrive on August 18th. It's hard to believe August has already arrived!
Here are some pictures from Kinley's first week at home. A few other notes about that week...I was reunited with my good camera which had been in the shop getting repaired for several weeks longer than expected. Thank goodness for the extended warranty! It is back to new again. Also, Cailyn has FINALLY started to use some very special words - please, thank you, and love you (my favorite!).
Cailyn is having a very important conversation with someone on my Blackberry. She has done so great welcoming the baby!
Cuddle time with Daddy
Tiny little feet and toes!
Big yawn!
Alert in her Boppy pillow
Meeting Lilly for the first time. You can see that neither are interested in each other...in fact, I had to force the dog to come over and get in the frame of the picture. The only time she seems to notice the baby is when she's crying and no one is holding her - like she's trying to protect by hovering until Kinley is picked up. She acted the same way with Cailyn.
My mom and her two granddaughters. Cailyn just adores her grandparents and there's quite the excitement when any of them come to the door for a visit!
