Thursday night we tried a gymnastics class for Cailyn - a.k.a. "match-sticks". It is parent-tot at KGDC and we were joined by Parker and Meghann. The two kiddos couldn't be more different in how they approached the class...
First of all, there were 8 kids and their parent escort (several with two) in quite a small room with a bunch of equipment. The teacher had set up an obstacle course with many different activities. Then we had about a 25 minute free-for-all with our kids in the course. Parker had no fear. He also had no idea what an obstacle course was and thus was all over the room (like pretty much every other kid). Cailyn started off OK and particularly enjoyed the trampolines, low balance beams, and jumping into the pit of foam squares, but then decided it was too much to handle and insisted I "hold you" until it was over.
We might be crazy, but we signed her up for the remainder of this session (2 more classes) and then next session (until the end of the year). Hopefully, like her Kindermusik class, she will warm up to everything and enjoy the activity and time with Parker.
After class was over. She actually was happy even though you can't tell. She even let the teacher put two stamps on her feet (which you can't see). We will look for a leotard now that we've committed to the class.

Cailyn and Daddy. The four of us went this time and Kinley slept soundly in her car seat the entire time.
