The Big Girl Bed!

It's official! Cailyn has transitioned, quite well actually, to her new "big girl" bed! She is keeping the same room she started in but got new furniture and the baby will have a new room with the dresser/hutch and crib that Cailyn used.

The new bed - it seems so big/tall!

She seemed quite excited to go "night-night" in the new bed, as evidenced by the smile below. But later, when it was time to leave the room, she was a bit scared and cried for a whole 30 seconds or so before falling sound asleep for the whole night.

I guess it will take some time before she gets the concept of a pillow and sheets...and the guard rails came in very handy, although they took forever to put together!

...and on night two (tonight), I am pleased to announce that she walked into the nursery and said "baby's bed" when pointing to the crib, followed by returning to her room for a successful and tear-free bedtime routine! Boy, does she make us smile daily!!!
